What we collect

From Google when you sign in: your email address, name, and profile picture. These three create your account. We never receive or store a password.

What you write: posts, comments, likes, saved posts, reports, board subscriptions, and your block list. Posts also store the language you wrote in, the post type, and — on some boards — a region.

Generated automatically: post view counts and timestamps. Your IP address is used only to detect the same person repeating an action too quickly; it lives briefly in server memory and is never written to the database.

Usage statistics: we use Google Analytics to see which pages get read and how people move through the site. Browser type, approximate location, and navigation paths are sent to Google, and cookies are used for this. Account details such as your name and email are not sent. You can refuse it through your browser settings or an extension.

What we use it for

Keeping your account working and showing who wrote what.

Telling you when someone replies to you. Email notifications can be turned off at any time on the notifications page.

Preventing spam and flooding.

We do not use it for advertising. We do not sell it. We do not pass it to third parties, except the processors listed below.

Who processes it for us

Google — sign-in. Used so that we never handle passwords.

Cloudflare — domain and secure connection, and storage for uploaded images on R2.

Resend — sending notification emails. Recipient address and message contents are passed along.

Google Analytics — visit statistics. The usage data described above is sent there.

These services process data only as needed for the purposes above. Posts and comments written by members are never sent to a machine-translation service — only operator notices are translated.

How long we keep it

Account information is kept until you delete your account.

Deleted posts and comments disappear from view immediately and remain flagged in the database for a period so that replies and conversations do not collapse. Images attached to a post are removed from storage when the post is deleted.

When you delete your account, your email, name, profile picture, and sign-in link are removed. Your posts and comments remain, but they no longer show who wrote them — the reasoning is in the Terms.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can edit and delete your own posts and comments, and delete your account yourself from your profile.

For anything else, or to dispute how a request was handled, contact us below.

Under 14

Children under 14 may not register without the consent of a legal guardian. If we learn that an account was created without it, we delete the account.

Changes

If this policy changes, we post it here with the date it changed. Significant changes are announced on the site.
