QuestionStaying about a year — does jeonse ever make sense, or is wolse the only option?

I keep reading that jeonse is cheaper over time, but I'll be here roughly a year and I don't have anything close to that kind of deposit sitting around. For people who stayed a similar length: did you look at jeonse at all, or was it monthly rent from the start? Trying to work out whether I'm missing something obvious.

For one year most people I know went with wolse, mostly because the deposit for jeonse is a different order of magnitude. But it depends a lot on the area.

1년이면 월세가 일반적이긴 해요. 다만 보증금이 클수록 월세가 내려가는 구조라, 가진 돈에 맞춰 조합을 정하시면 됩니다.

That framing helps, thanks — I didn't realise the two were on a slider like that.
