心得Finishing my working holiday year — things I'd tell myself on day one

Wrapping up soon, so writing this while it's fresh. This is just my year, not advice — other people's will look different. What I'd tell myself: The first month is mostly admin and it feels like you're not doing the thing you came for. That's normal, it passes. I moved cities halfway through and it was the best decision I made. If the first place isn't working, you're not stuck. I spent too long waiting until my Korean was 'good enough' to join things. It never gets good enough. Going early would have given me more time with people. I wish I'd written things down as I went. Half of what I figured out I've already forgotten.

The 'never gets good enough' part hits. I did the same thing and regret it.

    谢谢分享。我刚到一个月,正好是你说的那种什么都在办手续的阶段。

It genuinely does pass. Hang in there.

    途中で都市を変えられるというのは考えたことがありませんでした。参考になります。
